Wee Kee Jin is the Principal instructor

at the Taiji School of Central Equilibrium. He is based in Auckland, NZ with associations around the world. Dedicating himself to Taiji for close to forty years, with most of that time professionally teaching in Singapore (where he was born), Europe and in New Zealand where he immigrated in 1991.

He is internationally recognised as a senior instructor of the Huang Xing Xian system and is in ongoing demand by schools and associations in Europe and Australia. Twice a year Jin gives workshops in England, Holland, Germany, Austria, Norway and Denmark, plus every few months he crosses the Tasman to Brisbane, Australia.

Considering himself a lifetime student of Taiji, Wee Kee-Jin had the rare opportunity to personally live and train with Grandmaster Huang full time for four years. These four years embodied the traditional student - teacher relationships that were once a common way for “inner disciples” to learn from their teachers.

Over the southern hemisphere summer months Jin hosts visiting students from around the world, providing them with residential training. The travelling distance hasn’t deterred many from returning regularly. This is probably not just a reflection of Jin’s depth in understanding Taijiquan, but also his open and accessible teaching style.

In his spare time Jin enjoys spending time with his family, walking the dog and traditional Chinese Calligraphy.
